General Notes: Husband - Bird Wilson Kribbs

He was born Monroe township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. His early years were passed at this place, and he received his education in the public schools of the locality, and at Reid Institute in Reidsburg. He spent a year in the Indiana oil fields, after which he returned and took up farming for a sister and his father for a few years. After this he purchased a farm of ninety-one acres in Beaver township, Clarion County, where he began residing in the year 1902. This was an oil-producing farm, and there were eight producing oil wells on it. His chief occupations were farming and helping to produce sand and gravel for the town of Knox and vicinity. He became one of the leading citizens in the community and was a Democrat in politics. He was school director and treasurer of Monroe township, and later held the same office in Beaver township. He and his wife were both active workers in the Reformed church, Knox, Pennsylvania, as well as in Sabbath school work generally. [GPHAV, 973]
