General Notes: Husband - John Raymond Kookogey


Reared on a farm, he at­tended the district and township high schools, and then went to New York City to study music. Later he pursued courses of study in the International Correspondence School, of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
After completing his academic education, Mr. Kooko­gey entered the employ of the General Manifold & Printing Company, in Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania (1910­-1912). During the following year he was studying music in New York. Upon his return to Franklin, he worked in an executive position with the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Plant until 1917. Then until 1919 he was identified with the American Steel Foundry.
After 1919 Mr. Kookogey's business activities were associated with banking; first as paying teller in the Lamberton National Bank, at Franklin; second, beginning in 1928 he was cashier of the Citizens Bank of Pleas­antville, in 1933 being elected a director of the institu­tion. In civic, fraternal and religious affiliations, Mr. Kooko­gey was a Republican in politics, belonged to the Knights of Malta, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. His wife was the organist for this congregation.
