General Notes: Husband - Samuel Knox


He emigrated from Scotland to the United States and settled in the Ligonier valley, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, on what is known as the Four-Mile run. Later he moved to the vicinity of Idlewild, where he passed the remainder of his life. He was a farmer, and at one time the proprietor of a hotel on the old Bedford pike.
