General Notes: Husband - James Atwell


He was born in Venango County, Pennsylvania, and was brought to Butler County by his parents in 1816. He grew to manhood on the Marion township farm, and continued to live in Butler County all his life and up to the time of his death. His occupation was that of a farmer.
He was a staunch Democrat, and he and his wife were both members of the old Seceder church.
