KNOX — John Wylie Klingler, 76, of Lamartine died suddenly at 11:45 am Wed­nesday at his home.
He was born February 4, 1897, in Salem Township, Clarion County, a son of John Henry and Rachel Exley Klingler.
A resident of the Knox-Salem area his entire life, he joined the Pennsylvania Electric Co. of Knox in the early 1940s. Mr. Klingler worked there until 1962 when he retired.
Prior to that employment, he worked for the Alum Rock Gas Co. for a short time.
He was noted as a great sportsman and hunter all his life. Mr. Klingler was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Knox RD.
Surviving are two sons, Stanley Klingler of Knox RD 1 and Duane Klingler of Knox; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Joan) Meier of Knox RD I and Mrs. Jack (Imagene) Buzard of Lamartine; three brothers, Lloyd Klingler of Knox and Ollie Klingler, his twin brother, and George Klingler, both of Knox RD 1, and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received any time after 7 pm today in the Roy P. Stuart Funeral Home, Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Lewis R. Fox, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Salem-Lutheran Cemetery.
