H. Oley Klingler, 80, of Knox RD 2, Dies
KNOX — H. Oley Klingler, 80, of Knox RD 2, a retired employe of the Pennsylvania Electric Co. and lifelong resident of the Knox area, died at 9:35 am Monday in Oil City Hospital. He had been in failing health for several months.
Born at Knox RD, Salem Township, February 4, 1897, he was a son of John and Rachael Exley Klingler and a twin of the late Wiley Klingler.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Knox RD. Mr. Klingler, who retired in 1962, worked for 25 years for Penelec and earlier had raised strawberries on his farm.
He was a member of the Knox Rod and Gun Club and the Knox Servicemen's Club.
He was married July 7, 1958, to the former Thelma Snyder. She survives along with a daughter, Mrs. Jennings (Carole) Best of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, George Klingler of Knox RD, and Lloyd Klingler of Knox, and several nieces and nephews.
Four brothers and a sister are deceased.
Removal was made to the Roy P. Stuart Funeral Home in Knox where friends will be received after 2:30 pm today and any time Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. George Kraushaar, pastor of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, of­ficiating.
Interment will be in the St. Paul Union Cemetery.
