General Notes: Husband - Wade Turney Kline


He was educated in the public schools of Greensburg, Mercersburg Academy, and Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; read law with his father and was admitted to the bar of Westmoreland County in 1905, and became an associate in practice with his father; in 1905 was elected captain of Company I, Tenth Pennsylvania Infantry, in 1916 was called to the Mexican Border with his company, and after six months on duty there returned with his company intact; the company stood at the head of the National Guard of Pennsylvania for years; in 1918 was captain of Company I, 110th Infantry, American Expeditionary Forces, in France; wounded at Ourlu River and discharged from service August 5, 1919, with the same rank; served for one year as mayor of Greensburg.
