She died when her daughter Mary Kittera Snyder was only two months old, leaving two children, both daughters. Upon her death her children were taken charge of by their maternal grandmother, Mrs. Kittera, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who lived with her son Thomas in a large house on the south side of Walnut Street (old number 140), between Fifth and Sixth Streets, opposite Independence Square, where Thomas Kittera had his office.
