General Notes: Husband - Joseph Robert King

He was a small boy when his widowed mother came back to Pennsylvania from Illinois. He was reared in Mercer County and given a common school education, and when fifteen years of age was employed by D. G. Courtney at making barrels for oil companies. Later he bought land and began farming, together with lumbering and operating a saw mill. He became a stockholder in the King Planing Mill and Supply Company, of Grove City. For some time he resided in Wolf Creek Township, then located on a farm in Pine township, near Grove City, coming to that place in 1907.
In church faith and membership the family were Presbyterians and Mr. King was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

He and his wife had four sons and two daughters.
