General Notes: Husband - Rev. Dr. John King


He came to Conococheague, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, as a teacher in 1760. He was graduated at the College of Philadelphia (University of Pennsylvania) in 1766. He was pastor of the Upper West Conococheague Presbyterian Church, 1769-1809. He was an ardent patriot during the Revolution, and was chaplain of Col. Samuel Culbertson's battalion when in active service. The degree of D. D. was conferred upon him by Dickinson College in 1792.
