General Notes: Husband - Jesse Kilgore


He taught school three terms, next conducted a store for two years, and then turned his attention to farming in Hempfield township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He served as justice of the peace in 1845, was re-elected in 1887, and from 1858 to 1860 held the office of county treasurer. He was a member of the Presbyterian church for over sixty years, and a Democrat in politics.
