General Notes: Husband - Scott Kildoo

He received a preliminary education in the common schools of his native township, and then attended the schools of Edenboro, and Rose Point Academy. He followed farming for a time, then for eight years followed school teaching, meeting with success as an instructor. At the end of that time he began tending store for S. Shaffer at Princeton, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, and continued for four years, when he bought out the store. He then conducted the store, the leading store of the village, carrying a large and complete line of general merchandise, and from the first served as postmaster.
Politically he was a Republican. In religious faith he was a Presbyterian and was very active in church work. He served as elder of the church at Princeton for more than twenty years, having been elected such upon reaching his majority. Fraternally, he was a member of the Royal Arcanum and order of Odd Fellows.
