He remained with his father until his father died and then came to America. He lived at his brother Matthew's, in Wrightsville, York County, Pennsylvania, and died there about 1842. Buried in the old Presbyterian churchyard. He brought the old Bible to America, which his nephew got through Margaret Kerr Dickey.
