General Notes: Husband - Frank Seth McKnight


After marriage he entered the ministry and was admitted on trial to the Erie Methodist Conference in 1916 and into full membership in 1918, after serving the Townville Methodist Church for two years.
In October, 1918, they moved to Evanston, Illinois, where Frank entered Northwestern University, graduating in 1921 and from Garrett Biblical Institute in 1923. In 1933 Garrett conferred on him an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree.
He served the following churches: Pleasantville and Enterprise, Pennsylvania, 1922-­1925; Erie, Kingsley, Pennsylvania, 1925-1932; Westfield, New York, 1932-1940; and Franklin, Pennsylvania, 1940-1949.
After his appointment as District Superintend­ent in 1949 they moved to Brookville, Pennsylvania, where they lived until his death, the result of contract­ing virus encephalitis the year before his death.
The Erie Methodist Conference honored him by elect­ing him to both Jurisdictional and General Conferences. In 1948 he led the Conference delegation at General Conference.


General Notes: Wife - Anna Rita Kerr


After graduating from the Sharon, Pennsylvania, High School in 1908, she attended and was graduated from Slippery Rock State Normal School in 1909. She taught third grade in Sharon at the Russell Street School and the two years following at the Prospect Heights School.

After her husband's death, she moved to Erie where her mother lived with her. After her mother's death she moved to Meadville.
