General Notes: Husband - Daniel Carpenter Morris


He was a man over six feet in height, of fine presence and a member of Christ's Episcopal church, Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He read law with Major John B. Alexander and was admitted to practice at November term, 1827. He had secured quite an extensive practice at the time of his death. He was a strong and active democrat, always voting the straight ticket, and was a political leader of force and influence.

He was a member of Philanthropy Lodge, No. 225, F. & A. M., Urania H. R. A. M., Chapter, No. 192, and Kedron Commandery, No. 18, located at Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He was also a member of several beneficial organizations.
