General Notes: Husband - Tracy D. Kepler

He became a partner with his father in the hotel business, and continued the management of the Kepler House after his father's death. After the turn of the century the Keplers, recognizing the need of a more modern and commodious hotel, erected the first section of the New Kepler Hotel, which opened for business on March 4, 1904. The new hotel was a brick, fire-proof structure which became very popular with the commercial trade and enjoyed a steadily growing business. By 1914 this had increased to such an extent that Tracy Kepler built a two-story annex, connecting with the original hotel, containing rooms with private bath and heated by steam heat.

General Notes: Wife - Minnie Gertrude Truran

She was known to the entire Meadville, Pennsylvania, community as "Mother Kepler", and continued the Kepler Hotel until she died. Like her husband, who was devoted to Sunday school work, she was a well-known figure in the city. Her civic and charitable interests broadened her influence and in recognition of her contributions to Meadville life, she was awarded a gold medal by the local Kiwanis Club.
