General Notes: Husband - Rev. James Ferguson Kennedy, D.D.


He was graduated at Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania, in 1839, and at Princeton Theological Seminary, in 1845. He was ordained by the Presbytery of Luzerne, Dec. 12, 1848, as pastor at Berwick. He was principal of the Chambersburg Academy, 1851-55, and pastor of the Dickinson Church, 1855-59. He lost the sight of an eye in 1856, and became totally blind in 1857. Notwithstanding his affliction he was a hard student and an authority on Biblical interpretation.
