General Notes: Husband - Joseph M. Keister


He was in the employ of the Penn Gas Coal Company, at Irwin, Pennsylvania, for many years, during which he filled the positions of shipping clerk, chief clerk, and paymaster, having been appointed to the latter in 1902. He took an active interest in the public affairs of Irwin borough, especially along educational lines, and served as school director for over fifteen years. He was a Republican in politics, a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, a member and secretary of Shidle Lodge, No. 601, F. and A. M., of Irwin, Royal Arcanum Council, No. 794, Irwin, Maccabees, and J. O. U. A. M., Irwin Council.
