General Notes: Husband - Daniel Louis Ashbaugh

A family source states that he was born in 1858.

He grew to manhood at the home farm, and was educated in the Addleberger public school nearby. He was his father's assistant on the farm until the death of the latter, then purchased the interests of the other heirs and became sole owner. The farm contained one hundred and thirty-four acres, where he made a specialty of the breeding of high-grade Percheron horses. He was a Democrat in politics, but never an office-seeker. Both he and his wife were members of the Lutheran church. His fraternal order was the Modern Woodmen of America.
