General Notes: Husband - George B. Kunkle

He attended the common schools in Harrison City, Pennsylvania. At the age of fifteen he began his apprenticeship to the carpenter's trade with his father, and after having served his time entered on the practice of his calling, and after the retirement of his father succeeded him in the business. He also engaged in the building business, erecting many of the dwelling and farm buildings in his vicinity. With the exception of four years spent in a creamery he followed this occupation uninterruptedly. He was a Democrat. He served several years as school director of Salem district. He and his wife and eldest son were members of the German Reformed church at Delmont; and he was deacon of that church.
