General Notes: Husband - Harry Loutzenhiser Keck

He received his education entirely within the state of Pennsylvania, and the bulk of it at his native town of Greenville. He passed with credit through the graded schools and Thiel College, graduating from that institution in June, 1888, as valedictorian of his class. Soon after he commenced the study of law with E. S. Templeton, Esq., of Greenville, and later with Hon. Samuel Griffith, of Mercer, and after a year of close application under their guidance entered the law school of the state university at Philadelphia. He pursued a special course of two years therein, and was admitted to the bar of Mercer county in June, 1891. Mr. Keck was also admitted to practice at the bars of the surrounding counties, the U. S. District Court and State Superior and Supreme Courts; and was a member of the Mercer County Bar Association and State Bar Association. He established a substantial and high-class private practice, and was the local attorney for one of the subsidiary companies of the U. S. Steel Corporation, as well as other business interests. In politics he was a Republican, and served as secretary of the town council of the borough of Greenville, as well as its attorney, having held the latter position for five years. His fraternal connections were with the I. O. O. F. and K. of P. fraternities and other organizations.
