General Notes: Husband - William Wright

He and his wife were members of the Society of Friends, and during the war of 1812 they left their home in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, moving to Clearfield County, where they would not witness the turmoil and strife, so op-posed to their religious belief. Here he purchased a large tract of land, on which the present town of Glen Hope is located, and soon transformed the wild land into a highly improved and productive farm.
