General Notes: Husband - John H. Simpson


He remained with his father through his school period and after that started west. He resided at different points, and at Burlington, Iowa, learned his trade, that of a painter, which he followed more or less continuously thereafter. In 1889 he came to Washington, Pennsylvania, and there became a leading business man, carrying on a large business as a contracting painter.
Mr. Simpson was identified with the Odd Fellows, belonging to the lower branch and also to the Encampment.
