General Notes: Husband - Joseph [2] Junkin


It was in 1805 that he and his brother John came to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, to commence improvements on a property purchased by their father in 1800. This property was about two and a half miles south of the county town, and was known as the Hope Mill property.

He was an officer in the "Mercer Blues."

He was ensign in his brother's company, in the War of 1812.
