General Notes: Husband - David Kinaman


Civil War: he enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1864, and served on the gunboat Benton, on the Red and Mississippi Rivers, for fifteen months. He participated in the siege of Vicksburg, battle of Grand Gulf and in several other engagements. He held the position of Quarter Gunner; he was honorably discharged in 1865, and returned to Waterford, where he then engaged in the business of miller. He was employed by Dewey & Williams as first miller for more than seven years. Mrs. Kinaman was a member of the Episcopal Church. Mr. Kinaman was a member of the G. A. R. and the A. O. U. W. Politically, a Republican.
