General Notes: Husband - Charles B. Jordan

He was born on the old Jordan homestead and remained at home working for his father until the age of twenty-four, when he established a home of his own. After his marriage he resided for four years in the vicinity of Punxsutawney, where he operated a sawmill in partnership with his father. He then located on a farm, his residence, a handsome building, standing on an elevation on the main road between Punxsutawney and Brookville. Agricultural work occupied much of his time and attention, but he was also extensively engaged in lumbering, being a partner of W. J. Morrison in a sawmill in Oliver township. For about eighteen years he operated a sawmill in McCalmont township in association with his father and brother, Albert. Politically he was a Republican, but while he took great interest in the issues of the day, he never aspired to office. He belonged to the Masonic fraternity, John W. Jenks Lodge No. 534, F. & A. M., of Punxsutawney, and to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, of which he was a deacon for some years.
