General Notes: Husband - Stephen Jones


He was one of the early settlers of Venango county, PA. He settled in what is now Scrubgrass township, and later removed to Irwin township, and located south of Mechanicsville. He served in Captain Witherup's company in the war of 1812. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and class leader in that society for many years. [HVC 1890, 961]
