He led a quiet home life on and near the old paternal farm, and in Prospect, Butler County, PA. Of a most genial disposition, he was a favorite in the circle of his acquaintance. He and his wife reared a large family. He enjoyed the confidence of his neighbors, and held the office of justice of the peace many years.
