Obituary:
Barbara J.Treen
Barbara J. Treen, 54, of Cran-berry RD 1, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997, in the West Unit of Northwest Medical Center at Franklin following an extended illness.
Born July 6, 1943, in Seneca, she was a daughter of Meade T. and Laura E. "Betty" Wingard Johnston.
Mrs. Treen had worked at the Villa Italia in Oil City and Ohio Northern Electric in Kenton, Ohio. She last worked at Polk Center.
She was a member of Hasson Heights Presbyterian Church, where she was a deaconess and a member of the Christian Educa-tion Committee.
For many years, Mrs. Treen did volunteer work for Commu-nity Services of Venango County.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Michael Joseph and Carrie Marie Moon Treen of Jackson, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Kayla Leigh Treen and Bradley Thomas Treen, both of Jackson, Tenn.
She is also survived by her fa-ther, Meade T. Johnston of Cran-berry RD 1; three sisters, Sandra Johnston of Florida, Mrs. Daniel (Linda) Straub of Titusville and Mrs. Steven (Elizabeth Ann) Hud-son of Bear Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Friends may call from 7 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Morrison funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Geiger, pastor of Hasson Heights Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.
The family suggests memori-als be made to Community Ser-vices of Venango County, 203 Center St., Oil City, 16301; or Hasson Heights Presbyterian Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Oil City, 16301.
