Muncy, Lycoming Co, PA

He was a presidential elector in 1848 on the Whig ticket, State senator of Penn-sylvania from 1861 to 1864, and chairman of the Judiciary committee and author of the bill to entitle soldiers to vote in the field (after the Supreme court of Pennsylvania had de-cided their voting unconstitutional).
