General Notes: Husband - William Perry McCabe

In his boyhood he attended the public schools of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, and similar institutions in the Fourth Ward of Pittsburgh, and, after a preparatory course at the Park Institute of Pittsburgh, entered the University of Western Pennsylvania. Enrolling in the civil engineering course he was graduated C.E. in the class of 1891, after which he was for two years employed by the Carnegie Steel Company in the structural draughting department. For the four following years he was connected with the firm of Jones and Laughlin, in 1898 entering the service of the Rider Conley Manufacturing Company, performing the duties of a structural draughtsman until 1912. In that year he became assistant to the chief engineer of the plant.
An adherent to Republican sentiments and principles, for two terms he served Coraopolis as city auditor, while for more than ten years he was a trustee of the First Presbyterian church of Coraopolis, of which he and his wife were members. His home was that built by his father at No. 1452 State avenue, Coraopolis.
