General Notes: Husband - William F. Jaxtheimer


He was educated at the public schools and at the International Correspondence School of Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he was instructed technically in electric engineering, mill-wright work, mechanical science, etc. Having had some previous experience, in 1890, he worked as an engineer and had charge of P. L. Kimberley's plant at Sharon, Pennsylvania. He next was called to take full charge of the Carnegie Steel plant at Greenville, which position he held up to July 15, 1905, when he was given charge of A. D. Gillespie's Electric Light, Heat and Power plant. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Order, Custer Lodge No. 469. Politically, he was a supporter of the chief principles of the Republican party.
