General Notes: Husband - Francis Jacobs

Previous to his removal to West Chester, Pennsylvania, he was engaged in the iron commission business in Philadelphia. He was one of the directors of the First National Bank of West Chester. During the Civil War he was actively engaged in filling the different drafts made by the military authorities for the Union army, on his township, East Whiteland, from which township numerous young men had volunteered, and which had the credit of being the first township in the county to fill its quotas. Mr. Jacobs later in life resided in the city of West Chester.
