General Notes: Wife - Caroline Jack

She was probably a relative of Captain Matthew Jack, a soldier of the revolution, who also participated in the War of 1812, and is often named in the history of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, especially for his cool bravery at the time of the burning of Hannastown by the Indians, July 13, 1782. He never married, and, of his three brothers, one only, General William Jack, married.
