General Notes: Husband - Capt. Richard S. Irwin

He worked with his father at wagon-making until he reached manhood, when he went to Pittsburgh, PA, where he remained thirteen years. In 1827 he returned to Cherrytree township, and settled on the old farm. Richard remained on the farm after his father's death, and worked at his trade. He and his wife had a family of four children.
