General Notes: Husband - Joseph Irwin

He was born in the southern part of Ireland in 1710. In 1732, more than forty years before the Declaration of Independence, he came to America, and took up a tract of land located in what is now Mifflin township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Obtaining the patent, he called it the "Wormwood Farm," and there he followed the vocation of a farmer until his death.
