General Notes: Husband - Benjamin Irwin

He was born on the old Irwin homestead in Young township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. He lived for the first fifteen years after his marriage in Black Lick township, Indiana County. He later lived in Conemaugh township, Indiana County, for over fifteen years. He was a farmer chiefly during his life.

General Notes: Wife - Mary Marshall

There is some confusion about the ancestry of this person [Mary]. The Marshall Family book states, pg. 37, that she was the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Sterling) Marshall. This seems unlikely given the dates provided for these people. It also states that she came from a Marshall family unrelated to the family covered in the book, and William and Mary (Sterling) Marshall are related to that family.

Another source gives a different name for her [Margaret].
