General Notes: Husband - John Irvin, Jr.

In the country schools near his home he secured his education. Leaving school at an early age, he went to Oak Hall, College township, Centre County, Pennsylvania, where he became proprietor of the Oak Hall grist and saw mills and a store at the same place. He built the Monroe furnace in Huntingdon County, where he lived for several years, but finally returned to Oak Hall. Subsequently, however, he removed to Iowa, where his death occurred, surviving his last wife three years.
