General Notes: Husband - Joseph Acomb

He settled in Geneva, Ontario County, New York, in 1832. In the spring of 1834 they moved to Sandy Hill, Steuben County, and settled on a farm which he purchased and which was still owned by them almost a century later, and known as the Acomb homestead. He died of cholera, leaving an invalid wife and four children, two sons, and two daughters.

General Notes: Wife - Elizabeth [Unk]

Her husband died in the autumn of 1834, of cholera, leaving her an invalid with four children, two sons, and two daughters, the eldest of which was aged eight years. By her own industry and economy she maintained herself and the children until they were able to contribute to their own support. She lived to see them all grown up, married and settled, and in good circumstances.
