General Notes: Husband - Nathaniel Hurst


He grew to manhood on the family homestead, moving to Fayette County, Pennsylvania, on the occasion of his marriage. He settled in Bullskin township where he owned three hundred acres of land, and devoted himself to agricultural pursuits. He filled some of the local offices, and politically was a strong Whig. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian church in which he served as elder.
