General Notes: Husband - James Hutchison

He was the first of this Hutchison family to come to America.
They came from the north of Ireland, either Antrim or Armagh. He and his wife had eight children, all of whom, except Michael, who died in Ireland, came to America in 1754 or 1755, and landed at New Castle, Delaware.
They joined the Presbyterian Church of New London [Chester County, Pennsylvania], but remained members for only a short time owing to the introduction of Watt's Psalms and Hymns. They settled in New London Township on a farm later owned by James Eves, containing 186 acres of land.
