He went to the American Southwest in 1841 or 1842, and was supposed to be dead by 1883. He was a carpenter by occupation, and worked for some time on the State house in Texas, shortly after it was admitted into the Union. [HBC 1883, 347]

He went west in 1830 and died there. [HBC 1895, 1238]
