General Notes: Husband - Ellis Hughes

As the name would indicate, the family is of Welsh origin, but Ellis Hughes moved from Wales to the North of Ireland. [CAB, 466]

This family is of sturdy Welsh ancestry; they were early settlers in Pennsylvania, pioneers in the industrial development of the commonwealth, and staunch patriots and brave soldiers in both the revolutionary and civil wars.
