General Notes: Husband - Michael Hubley


He was justice of the peace of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, appointed by the Supreme Executive Council in 1777, and for some time the presiding justice of the several courts of the county. He was re-commissioned justice in 1784, and was acting magistrate of the county for twenty-seven years; was barrack-master of Lancaster County for some time during the Revolutionary war, and for the last forty-three years of his life served the Trinity Lutheran congregation as warden, elder, and trustee. [HLC 1883, 283]

He was a magistrate and a signer of a treaty with the Six Nations of Indians, made at Lancaster, Pennsylvania, July, 1748.
