General Notes: Husband - Jacob Hough


They left Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and settled in Maryland, or Loudoun County, Virginia, on the opposite side of the Potomac River from Frederick County, Maryland.
They settled in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, and later in South Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County, on the watershed of a stream called ''Salt Creek," which name he changed to "Jacob's Creek." Reputed to have been the first Hough family to settle west of the Allegheny Mountains.

He served in Capt. Ezekiel Ross' Company, Westmoreland County, Pa., Militia, under Col. Wm. Crawford, Sandusky Expedition. (Ref. Pa. Arch., 6th Series, Vol. 2, p. 399.)
