Cussewago Twp, Crawford Co, PA

He devoted his energies to his farm, which consisted of 100 acres; he bought fifty of it when a boy, and fifty after the Civil war, and improved it. He paid considerable attention to the culture and improvement of fine stock. He served the township as Supervisor and Treasurer of School Board. In politics he was a Republican.

Civil War: He enlisted February 25, 1864, in Battery H, Third Pennsylvania Light Artillery, serving in the Maryland and Virginia campaigns, and received an honorable discharge July 25, 1865.
