General Notes: Husband - Harry B. Richardson

He attended the public schools of the community and then entered Washington and Jefferson Academy, in Washington, graduating in the class of 1907, from Washington and Jefferson College, with the degree of Bachelor of Arts. Upon completing his college course, Mr. Richardson became identified with the educational system of his home county, and served as superintendent of schools there, and also at a later date, as principal of the Centerville High School. He was interested in international affairs, and was for a time attached to the United States Consulate at Liverpool, England, and later at Belgrade, Serbia, thus gaining valuable experience of men and affairs in foreign countries. Deciding at this period of his career to study law, he entered the law school of the University of Pittsburgh, and after his course there, was admitted to the Beaver County bar in February, 1917, and commenced the practice of his profession at Woodlawn, as a member of the firm of Holt, Holt & Richardson. He conducted a general practice, with offices at Woodlawn, and built up a substantial clientele. During the World War, Mr. Richardson was active on Liberty Loan and other drives, was one of the "four-minute" men, and received a certificate of recognition for his splendid work. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, serving on its official board and vestry; a member and president of the Kiwanis Club, of Woodlawn, and of several other clubs; and politically, a member of the Republican Party. Fraternally, he was affiliated with Lodge No. 457, Free and Accepted Masons, of Beaver; and his college fraternity was the Alpha Tau Omega.
