General Notes: Husband - Samuel Weakley

He was a native of Cumberland county, Pennsylvania, of English ancestry, the family being among the first settlers of that county. After reaching his maturity he removed to Mercer County, with his brothers, James and Robert, and about 1817 purchased 200 acres of land in Slippery Rock town-ship, Butler County. He built his cabin on the farm later occupied by Mrs. Jane Brown, and spent the remaining years of his life on that property. He was a soldier in the War of 1812. He was a member of the Covenanter church.
