General Notes: Wife - Olive Lora Hoey


She was educated in the common schools, from which she was graduated at the age of fifteen. She then entered the Irwin avenue school of Allegheny, from which she graduated a year later. She also attended the Murraysville Academy and the Indiana State Normal school. She began teaching at the age of eighteen in the public schools, and became principal of Myers school, near Jeannette, in Penn township, Westmoreland County. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, was organist of the Sunday school four years, and was pianist of the Christian Endeavor Society of the church.
