General Notes: Husband - Frank Leslie Keefer

He was a clerk in various stores in Clarion, Pennsylvania, and in 1909 he was appointed deputy treasurer of Clarion County, a position he held for at least 4 years. He operated a Red & White Grocery Store in Clarion for a number of years prior to his death.

He at-tended the public school at Leepers Mills and other public schools in Clarion County, Pennsylvania, then entered Clarion high school, whence he was graduated, class of 1896. After leaving school he became a clerk in Martin's feed store in Clarion, remaining four years. He was then clerk for four years in E. E. Capron's general store; later clerk in C. Peter's general store, Carrier Brothers' store, then for two and a half years in Brinkley's general store. In January, 1909, he was appointed deputy treasurer of Clarion County. He was a Democrat in politics. He was a member of the Improved Order of Red Men and keeper of records in the local lodge of Maccabees, an office he held several years. He was also secretary and treasurer of the Clarion Cemetery Association. Both he and his wife were members of the Lutheran church.
